When Aubrey was a kid, he and his Granddad used to fly model airplanes. Like all of Aubrey's hobbies, he was way into it. Like many of his hobbies, he quit doing it, but never lost interest. A few years ago we bought two used planes, but never got around to flying them. Actually Aubrey tried to fly mine, but it didn't want to fly. They've been in the garage ever since. Last weekend Aubrey got his plane out and we went up to the high school track by our house and he flew his plane. It was pretty damn cool. Aubrey said he was super nervous flying it and that it was very sensitive, but to my untrained eye, he did great. Take offs went well, he didn't hit any power lines, and there weren't any crash landings. Melvin also loved the experience, but he was more obsessed with the antennae on the controller. To a dog's eye, it closely resembles fishing pole.
